LE DROIT HUMAIN means "Human Rights"


CO-FREEMASONRY, LE DROIT HUMAIN was brought to South Africa from Britain a few years before the First World War, starting in a small way in a Church Hall in Durban. It rapidly spready to Capetown, Johannesburg and Pretoria, where Lodges and Chapters were established, and in due time Temples acquired.

CO-FREEMASONRY is a Society of Men and Women concerned with moral and spiritual values and who follow the principles of Brotherly Love, Truth and Charity. In seeking Truth, tolerance and respect is shown for the opinions of others. Members are taught Masonry's precepts by a series of ritual dramas which follow ancient Masonic forms and which use stonemason's tools and customs as symbolical guides. Local, National and International charities are supported. Co-Freemasonry is non-political and also not a Religion - it is a PHILOSOPHY.

MEMBERSHIP is open to Men and Women of any Race or Creed, of 18 years and above, and who are of good moral standing and respect.
